Thornapple Township is seeking qualified residents to apply for an open Trustee position.
Position Overview
Township Trustees serve as elected/appointed officials responsible for township governance, including fiscal oversight, policy decisions, and general administration to support the needs of the community.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a resident of ThornappleTownship
- Meet all legal requirements to hold township office under Michigan law
- Be willing to serve the remainder of the unexpired term, ending November 2028.
Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Attending regular and special township board meetings
- Reviewing and approving budgets, expenditures, and township policies
- Representing the interests of township residents
- Working collaboratively with other board members and township staff
Appointment Process
Interested individuals should submit:

- A brief summary of qualifications or relevant experience
Applications will be reviewed by the Township Board, and an appointment will be made in accordance with applicable laws and procedures.
